Overview
Summary
ZapTalks is a communication app that supports phone-number login, profile creation, one-to-one messaging, image attachments, push notifications, and Agora-powered audio and video calls.
Based on the current app build reviewed on March 23, 2026, ZapTalks does not request SMS permissions, call log permissions, contacts access, or location access. No third-party in-app advertising SDKs were identified.

Delete Your Account & Data
If you want to request deletion of your ZapTalks account and associated personal data, you can:
- Open ZapTalks and go to the Chats screen.
- Tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner.
- Tap Delete Account and confirm.

This Privacy Policy applies to the ZapTalks mobile app, any related websites or deletion request pages we provide, and our associated messaging and calling services.
It applies when you create or use a ZapTalks account, communicate with other users, receive notifications, or contact us for support.

How We Share Data
We do not sell personal data.
We may share data only as needed to operate ZapTalks, comply with law, protect users, or work with service providers acting on our behalf.
Service providers used in the current app build:
- Backend/API infrastructure โ to authenticate users, store profile data, manage chats, and coordinate call state.
- Agora โ to support audio and video calling.
- Pusher Channels โ for real-time private channel events such as chat and call state updates.
- OneSignal โ for push notification delivery and push subscription identity mapping.
- Apple & Google notification services โ may process push delivery.

Local Storage & Security
The current app build stores the access token in secure device storage to keep you signed in. We use standard app transport, backend, and provider infrastructure to operate the service.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we apply reasonable safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data we handle.
Section 7
Data Retention
- Authentication tokens remain on your device until logout, token replacement, or removal.
- Profile information, message content, chat metadata, call metadata, and moderation data may be retained while your account is active.
- If you clear a chat or request account deletion, we will delete or de-identify applicable data unless retention is legally required.
- Logs and operational records may be retained for a limited period for troubleshooting and security.

Your Choices & Controls
- Update your name, bio, birth date, and profile image in the app.
- Clear chat history inside the app where that option is available.
- Block or report other users in the app.
- Control notification permissions from your device settings.
- Logout, which removes the stored access token from the device.
- Request account deletion using the contact or web resource listed in this policy.

Children & Age Eligibility
ZapTalks is not intended for use by anyone who is not legally permitted to use the service under applicable law. If you believe that a child or ineligible user has provided personal data to us, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.
