Delete Your ZapTalks Account

This page explains how ZapTalks users can request account deletion and deletion of associated app data.

How to Request Deletion

You can delete your ZapTalks account directly from inside the app:

  1. Open ZapTalks and sign in to your account.
  2. Go to the Chats screen.
  3. Tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner.
  4. Tap Delete Account.
  5. Read the warning and confirm deletion.

If you cannot access the app, you can also request deletion by emailing:

If you contact us by email, include the following details:

  • Your ZapTalks phone number
  • Your display name, if available
  • The words Delete my ZapTalks account in the subject or message

What We Delete

  • Your ZapTalks account profile and associated account data
  • Stored authentication access tied to your account
  • App-side account associations needed to operate your account

What May Remain

Some messages may still remain in another user's chat history because those records may depend on the other user's account or conversation history.

We may also retain limited data where necessary for legal compliance, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, dispute resolution, or security purposes.

Processing Time

Deletion requests are typically reviewed and processed within a reasonable period after we can verify the request belongs to the account owner.
